With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharlene Mixon of Fairborn, Ohio, born in Stonewall, Mississippi, who passed away on January 26, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. John O. Mixon Sr.; her children-in-law, Rev. Clarence Barnes and Christy Mixon; her grandson Randy Mixon Jr.; her mother Maggie Hollis; and her siblings, Mary Valentine, James Morgan and Thomas Hollingshead.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Barnes of Fairborn and John O. Mixon Jr.; her daughter-in-law Kathy of Dayton; her son Randy Mixon Sr. of Fairborn; her foster daughter Shawn Hoffer of West Virginia; her sister-in-law Codelia Mixon-Wayman of Enterprise, Mississippi; her grandchildren, Sherry Thompson (David), Sean Mixon (Jana), Dawn Holding, Joshua Mixon (Kelly), Amy Kuntz (Jason), Amber Louprasong (Lat) and Brian Rogers Sr. Seventeen; her great grandchildren, Cassie, Courtney, Cody, Brittany, Justin, Cara, Tyler, Alexis, Alan, Colin, Madison, Morgan, Kayden, Evan, Oliver, Samuel and Brian Rogers Jr.; and her great great grandchildren, Skyler, Ryan, Kinsley and Wyatt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other extended family as well as many church friends.
