It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Elaine Shurte (Fairborn, Ohio), born in Greenville, Ohio, who passed away on July 2, 2019, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Apple and Viola Apple (Arnett); and her brother Jacob Apple. She is survived by: her husband Richard L. Shurte of Fairborn; her daughters, Judith (Mike Brown) and Julia (Sheldon Cook); her grandchildren, Savanna Hill, Joleen Harsh, Jesse Hammaker and Michael D. Brown; her stepgrandchildren, Amy Brown and Jamie Brown; her great grandchildren, Camdon Hammaker, Chloe Hammaker, Scarlett Harsh, Malikye Hill, Sebastyn Hill and Juniper Hill; and her sister Helen Hart of Dayton.
