He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. Crawford and Marjorie L. Sheley Crawford; and his former wife Karin Crawford. He is survived by: his wife Janice Crawford (Fredenburg); his daughter Christina Shurts (Daniel); his grandson Lucas William Shurts; and his siblings, William Dennis Crawford (Marci), David A. Crawford (Lee) and Linda L. Peach (Gary) of Lakeland, FL. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews, and by many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.
