He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hickey and Pauline Hickey (Lawson); his significant other Sheila Oakley; his daughter Elaine Werling; and his sisters, Sidney Sebastian and Margaret.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mandy Hickey (Devin Johnson) of Anderson, Indiana, Kristy Steaveson (William) of Anderson, Indiana and Jennifer Hickey (John Zirkle) of Anderson, Indiana; his stepchildren, David Oakley (Jenny) of New Carlisle and Christine Schweitzer (Christopher) of Huber Heights; and his siblings, Dan Hickey (Kim) of Piqua, Walter Hickey Jr. (Vena) of De Graff and Norma Durham (James) of Williamsburg, Kentucky.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
