He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Preston and Flossie Preston (Jennings); and his siblings, Deal Blanton, Mary Dean Osborne, Roy Alvis Preston, Della Faye Adkins, Freddie Preston and Elbert Preston.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita; his children, Karen (Jim Robertson) of Fairborn and James Matthew (Charlene Raman-Preston) of South Carolina; his grandchildren, James Cameron (Lily Robertson) and Kayley (Jacob Skidmore); his great grandchildren, Anastasia, Clarissa, Jeremiah and Boaz; and his sister Phyllis DeLong of Fairborn.
