He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Smith and Hazel Smith (Elam); and his siblings, George Smith, Dorleen Simpkins, Kelly Smith, Jeanetta Brooks, Wanda Pinkston, Elwood Smith, Helen Hammonds, Darell Smith and Charlotte Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Janna; his children, Rodney Smith (Robyne), Carolyn Long (Mike) and Robert Legg; his grandchildren, Shelby Newsome (Trevor), Tyler Long, Jenna Legg, Jonathan Legg, Josh Legg, Nathan Legg and Jeremy Legg; and his sibling Dale Smith (Betty) of Sue Nickell. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; as well as numerous niece, nephews, and other extended family.
