He was predeceased by: his wife Alice (Wisemandle); his brothers, Walter and Richard; and his grandson Sean Hurley. He is survived by: his sons, Fredricka (Pinnell), Walter A. Funke and Frederick H.; his daughter-in-law Bridget Funke (Brandewie) of Fairborn; his daughter Conni Funke of Fairborn; his grandson Christopher Funke (Shawni Trainer); and his sisters-in-law, Georgia Funke of Farmington and Wanda Funke of Gainsville, Virginia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
