He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Muir and Violet Muir (Sharpe); his wife Shirley; his granddaughter Alicia Keenan; and his great grandchild Violet Keenan.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Evans, Annettee Keenan (Randy), Mark Muir (Teri), Valerie Thompson (Thomas) and Jeannie Pierce (Mark); his grandchildren, Steven Muir, Charles Evans, Leroy Evans (Jessyka), Samantha Evans, Jason Keenan (Nicole), Nicole Wiltshire (Jonathan), Christopher Muir, Chantel Anderson (Sam), Richard Browning (Karyn), Stephanie Pierce and Jodie Pierce; his great grandchildren, Owen Keenan, Cali Browning, Lexi Browning, Jenna Evans, Jack Wiltshire and Cora Wiltshire; and his sisters, Lois Stickney and Connie Douglas. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
