He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Lentz; his parents, Ray Lentz and Cecelia Lentz; and his brothers, Ray Lentz and Lewis Lentz.
He is survived by: his children, Loretta Fishking (William), Lawrence Lentz (Susan), Linda Akers (Kelly), Lisa Lentz (Neal Covington), Laura Bates (John) and Leeann Holloway (Chip); and his grandchildren, Michael Lentz (Kami), Christine Lentz, Amy Rinchart (Jason), David Fishking, Madison Stroud (Brad), Maxwell Hunt, Gracie Akers, John Morgan Bates, Sarah Jane Bates, Jackson Holloway, Jenna Holloway and James Holloway. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
