He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Underwood and Myrtle Underwood (Ratliff); his wife Janet G. Underwood; his son Clifford L. Underwood, Jr.; and his grandson David Hill.
He is survived by: his daughter Bonnie Hill. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
