He was predeceased by: his mother Diana J. Hawkey. He is survived by: his wife Kristina Hawkey; his children, Blaine Hawkey and Emma Faye Hawkey; his parents-in-law, Scott and Lisa Nash; his brother-in-law Kyle Nash; his aunt Jenny; his uncle Bill Hawkey; and his siblings, Amy Buckingham, Lorri-Buckingham Marian and David Buckingham. He is also survived by many cousins; nieces; other extended family; and numerous friends.

“Bruce was the next-door-neighbor kid that was a big part of my childhood. I didn't have any contact with him after I left for college, but I do cherish these memories. One-on-one kickball, football and climbing that big tree. Hiding out in the rafters in his garage, hiking down the railroad tracks and shooting birds with his bee bee gun (bee bees that bounced off the birds); trying to stay up late enough to watch music videos or the Saturday Night Main Event. - Joe Royer”
