She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Barnette and Marie Barnette; and her son Earl William Merrick. She is survived by: her children, Robin De La (Carlos) and Richard Merrick Jr. (Michelle); her grandchildren, Amber Merrick, Justin Merrick, Nicholas De La Vega, Amanda Wagner, William Merrick and Brittney Michalak; and her sisters, Mary Maez, Erileen Swanagan, Tanya Barnette, Debbie Cantrell and Kim Kohl. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
