She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmer Shearer and Hester Shearer of Fairborn Oh; her husband Robert A. Jones; her siblings, Lee, Gene Shearer, Shirley Coleman, Brenda Scott and Cynthia; her daughter Melody Jones; and her granddaughter Heather Jones.
She is survived by: her brother Melvin Shearer (Pam); her nephews, Jeff (Lynda) and Steve Jones (Tammi); her grandchildren, Michelle, Christina, Kelli, Bryan and Valerie; her great grandchildren, Klay, Jordan and Nick; and her friend Eliza Haddix. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was widely known for her ability to make a birthday cake for virtually any theme. And she must have knitted thousands of hats that she donated to churches, charities and shelters. She also knitted dozens of comfort afghan blankets that were donated to hospitals.
