He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Adkins and Laura Adkins (Click); his wife Wilma; and his siblings, Clifford, Claude, Roger, Roy, Burl Adkins, Wanda Adkins and Dolliey Sconzo.

He is survived by: his children, Ancil Jason Adkins, Jennifer Smith (Mark) and Justin Clyde Adkins; his grandchildren, Laura, Cole Smith, Taylor and A. J. Adkins; and his great grandchildren, Kaisen, Lucas, Rilynn and Weston. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
