He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Whaler, Laura Ogilby, Cheryl Waymire and Melvin S. Waymire, Jr.; his sister Janet Johnson; his brother-in-law Ronald Adams; and his grandchildren, Heather Spillman, Justin Ogilby, Brandon Ogilby, Sarah Felix, David Ogilby, Andrea Norman and Drew Waymire. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
