He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Michel (Karl); his children, Bobby, Jim Michel and Patty Michel; his grandsons, Nathan and Daniel Michel; and his parents, Louis Michel and Henrietta Michel (Hunkler).

He is survived by: his children, Bill Michel (Julie), Kathy Christner (Jon), Jerry Michel (Carol), Mary Lou Schwieterman (Dana), John Michel (Caroline), Ted Michel (Belinda), Jenny Spidel (Guy), Paul Michel (Lynn), Molly Brunk (Garry) and Chris Michel (Brenda). He is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita Catholic Church or Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.
