He is survived by: his wife Gloria "Jean" Hissong (Coburn); his children, Sonja Furman (Harry), Jeffrey Melson (Melissa) and Richard Melson (Tammy); his grandchildren, James (Shanda), Calvin (Jordan), Anthony (Brandi), Stephanie, Jonathan (Marissa), Hannah and Matthew; his great grandchildren, Channing, Camden, Kinslee and Joseph; and his sisters, Linda Heath, Rita Raynor (Kevin) and Beth Deeter (Bill). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crestview Baptist Church or to Paralyzed Veterans of America.
