He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Thornton (Snedaker); his sons, Gary Richard Thornton (Amanda), Timothy Kent Thornton (Mindy) and Joseph Randall Thornton (Alissa); his grandchildren, Brooke, Abbigail, Jasper, Allexis and Henry; and his siblings, Jim Thornton, Ken McDonald, David McDonald, James H. Thornton, Marjie DeYoung, Thomas Thornton, Ronald Thornton, Donald Thornton and Edward Thornton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
