He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Jean; his parents, Ernest Chitwood and Georgie Chitwood; and his siblings, Burnette Bell, Virginia Autry and Clay Chitwood.
He is survived by: his son Doug; his daughter-in-law Julie Chitwood; his granddaughter Allison Jean Chitwood; his stepgrandchildren, Miranda Huffman (Jeremy), Chris McCann (Molly) and Brandon McCann (Lindsey); and his sister Ernestina Stamper. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice of Dayton.
