She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore VanHook and Alice VanHook (Smith); her former husband Arnold Lee Rhodes; her husband Norman H. Orth; and her sister Mickey Ockerman.

She is survived by: her children, Carol Russell (Todd) of Lima, Peggy McCall (Bob) of Englewood, Penny Rhodes and Norman Orth (Gail); her grandchildren, Lindsey (Jarrett), Jessica, Amie (Rick), Emily (Bill), Katlyn (Tyler), Paul (Heather), Meri (Dustin), Ryan (Megan) and Rochelle; and her great grandchildren, Aidan, Avonlea, Joseph, Dubs, Addison, Nora, Abbie, Landon, Gage, Nathan and Audrey. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
