He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Clarence Schaefer, Sr. and Esther Mae Schaefer (Rihm); his son Kenneth Alexander Schaefer; and his siblings, Kathy Hoke and Richard Schaefer.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Stephanie Schaefer; his children, Daniel Lee Schaefer, Jonathan Bruce Schaefer, Linda Ann Schaefer Calvin and Matthew Adam Schaefer; his grandchildren, Jorden McGuffie, Logan Schaefer, Lian Schaefer, Ethan Schaefer, Cohen Schaefer, Vivian Calvin and Jamison Calvin; and his brothers, Mark Schaefer and Carl Schaefer, Jr.. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
