He was predeceased by: his parents, Bass Brandenburg and Rose Brandenburg (Whitaker); his wife Jan Brandenburg (Judy); his children, Karen Cobble (John) and Joel Brandenburg; and his siblings, Sandy Brandenburg, Lucille Williams, Juanita Frisch, Pauline Ferguson, Billy, Jessie, Bass Jr., Dale and Earl Brandenburg.
He is survived by: his former wife Janet Wead (Furrey); his son Jeff Brandenburg (Cheryl); his stepdaughter Julie Skipper (James); his siblings, June Brandenburg, Patty Stevens (Ralph) and Denzil Brandenburg; and his close friends, Rachel Skipper (Shane Pullins), Sarah Skipper, Corey Andon, Emily Skipper and Alex Gambill. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
