He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Strickland and Lucille Strickland; and his parents-in-law, Baxter and Frances Lee. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Monica Elliott (Deb), Douglas (Jessica) and Chad Strickland (Michele); his grandchildren, Thomas (Samantha), Bradlee Elliott, Cassandra Hughes (Dan), Brittanie (Alex), Brett Strickland (Sierra) and Brookelynn Kurta (John); his great grandchildren, Brock, Olivia Elliot and Zoey Kurta; and his sister Beverly Thompson (late Allen).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
