She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph M. Legard; her children, Lawrence Legard and Clarence Legard; her parents, Willie Williams and Arie Williams (Dokes); and her siblings, Leroy, Willie, Robert, Alfred, Johnnie, Catherine Wilson, Minnie Mae Porter, Beatrice McClendon and Erma Jean Newman.
She is survived by: her children, James H. Legard, Louise Legard Watson, Darnell Legard (Deborah), Genevia Legard Taylor (George), Dolores Legard Reeves (Bruce), Ophelia Legard Amerson (Danuel) and Priscilla Watkins; her sister Effie Johnson of Hammond, Louisiana; and her daughter-in-law Debbie Legard. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
