He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his parents, Elza Underwood and Lizzie Underwood; and his son-in-law Mark Van Horn. He is survived by: his children, Sherry Underwood of Elyria, Darlene Van Horn of Elyria and Robert Jr. of Elyria; his grandsons, Alexander Van Horn and Dylan Van Horn (Emily); and his great grandchildren, Lira Reithmann and Emmett Vanhorn.
