He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Schaffer and Margaret Schaffer; and his granddaughters, Heather and Kelly. He is survived by: his wife Edie; and his sons, David Schaffer (Elaine) of Wheeling, WV and William Schaffer (Christy) of Wellington. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.
