It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert J. McIlwaine of Elyria, Ohio, born in Lorain, Ohio, who passed away on December 6, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lorrine "Lori" McIlwaine; his daughter Kimberly DeWitt; his parents, James McIlwaine and Elizabeth McIlwaine; and his siblings, Maybeth Perrell, Ruth Gross and James "Bumps" McIlwaine.
He is survived by: his children, Robert McIlwaine (Yanira) and Lee Salas; his grandchildren, Kevin McIlwaine, Katelyn Calo (Angel), Carolin McIlwaine, Trent Smith, Joseph DeWitt, Christopher DeWitt, Joel Salas, Gillian Salas and Zachary Salas; his great grandchildren, Cayden and Mila; and his sister Engle (Butch).
