He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby; his parents, Kenneth Lanning and Flora Lanning; and his sisters, Debbie Mangus and Judy Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Christina Adams (Patrick) of Mansfield, Richard Lanning, Jr. (Rhonda) of Elyria and Kenneth Lanning III (Pamela) of Lorain; and his siblings, Ronald, Kenneth Lanning and Elizabeth Helton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service (323 Middle Ave, Elyria, OH 44035).
