He was predeceased by: his wife Janine; his sister Muriel "Pat" Katai; and his nephew Kevin O'Boyle (Carol). He is survived by: his sister Phyllis O'Boyle; his nieces and nephews, Michael Katai (Ann), Sheila Reid (Michael Pontius), Bryan O'Boyle, Dan O'Boyle (Julie), Victoria Johnson (Brad), Karolyn Bako and Tim Bako (Laura); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Dan (Janka), Amy Burns (Tim), Anna, Owen, Elys, Madeline and Mason.
