Owen H. Laubenthal Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Owen H. Laubenthal of Elyria, Ohio, born in North Ridgeville, Ohio, who passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joan; his parents, Arnold and Irene; his sister Arlene Wacker (Robert); and his grandsons, Christopher and Nicholas Hoy.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Ash (Orbin), JoAnn Pryor, Linda Laubenthal, Joseph Laubenthal (Catherine), Kathryn Hume (Eric) and Andrew Laubenthal (Belinda); and his brothers, Allan Laubenthal, Norman Laubenthal (Joan) and John Laubenthal (Ann). He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grand children, and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home (38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Church (320 Middle Ave, Elyria, OH 44035).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary Church.
