He was predeceased by: his parents, Byrd Cash and Lula Cash; and his siblings, Willie Mirl Johnson, Mabel Fitzpatrick, Benny, Byrd W., Gene Sr., J. C. and Johnny Cash.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela; and his children, Tawana Bowens (Cleo) and Gerrel Watkins. He is also survived by three grandsons; one granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
