With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael F. Groomes of Elyria, Ohio, born in Lorain, Ohio, who passed away on November 14, 2020 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Groomes and Virginia Groomes. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Anne; his children, Anne Marie Eakins (Jon) of Grafton, Rebecca Cuddy (Chad) of St. Helena, Michael Groomes (Lindsey) of Fairview Park, Colleen Groomes (Cindy) of Willoughby and Megan Dutkiewicz (Pawel) of Macedonia, Ohio; his granddaughters, Mackenzie, Delaney, Morgan, Annabelle and Mila; his siblings, William Groomes, Christine Groomes, Janelle Smith, Mary Margaret Groomes and Therese Groomes; and his sister-in-law Geralyn Hoffman (Dave). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans Affairs or Wounded Warriors Project.
