With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary R. Smith of Elyria, Ohio, who passed away on July 2, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Caywood and Birtie Caywood; her husband Earl "Sonny" LeRoy Smith, Sr.; her children, Earl LeRoy Smith Jr., Birtie Bernice (Spraggins) and Anthony Smith Sr.; her grandson Anthony Smith Jr.; her great grandchildren, Alijah Noble, Antonio Spraggins and Kevin Calhoun; and her siblings, Lenora Dobbs, Gardner and Carl Caywood.
She is survived by: her children, Gordon Smith (Erana "Leonard" Hardy) of New Orleans, LA., Carolyn Washington of Elyria and Susan Smith of Elyria; and her godson Lenford Nelson. She is also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren.
