In loving memory of Marlene C. Matus of Elyria, Ohio, who departed this world on July 23, 2024 at the age of 71. Marlene leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Milford Barefoot and Marjorie Barefoot; her sister Jacqueline Coots; and her sister-in-law Linda Barefoot. She is survived by: her husband John; and her siblings, Bonnie Freas (Ted) of Seville, Pamela Kinsley (Dale) of Vermilion, Lee Ann Jones (Chris) of Columbia Station, Dick Barefoot of Bowling Green, KY and Tom Barefoot (Sandy) of Lorain. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews she loved.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
