She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Harris and Annie Harris; her husband D. W. Capers Sr.; her sons, Henry Capers and D. W. Capers Jr.; her brother Wiley Harris; and her grandchildren, Raymond Smith, Danielle Capers, Crystal Capers, Darius Capers, Erin Capers and Jimmy Holland Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Alfred Capers (Dawn) of Washington, Arthur Capers (Zanna), Barbara Capers of Florida, Bob Capers (Brenda) of Arizona, Dorothy Crawley of Ohio, Albert Capers of Ohio, Alberta Gibson (Tyrone) of Ohio and Sandra Woolfolk of Georgia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
