It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Turner of Elyria, Ohio, who passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Turner and Ulysses Turner; and his siblings, Jerl Turner, Shirley Kauffman and Rheba Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Mona; his children, Lawrence Jr. (Beverly) of Elkins, WV, Stanley Turner of Elyria and Denise Compher (Pete) of Stephens City, VA; and his siblings, Jerry, Larry Turner, Leah Woods and Dottie Hawley. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service (323 Middle Ave, Elyria, OH 44035). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Tomblyn Funeral Home & Cremation Service (45 Randolph Ave, Elkins, WV 26241).
