He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Hersman and Nannette J. Hersman; and his aunt Jackie Tompkins. He is survived by: his wife Halema A.; his children, Michael Hersman (Tamekia), Mariah Boone, Amber Hersman (Alex) and Haley Hersman (Ricky); his cousins, Kathryn Carpenter and George Tompkins (Tena); his siblings-in-law, Ameinna Mashrah, Janen Mashrah, Nuel Mashrah, Tamy Joe (Tim) and Tarik Mashrah (Jackie); and his father-in-law Ali Mashrah. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
