He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearlina Chaney (Stokes) and Joseph Harris; his daughter Kyla L. Ross; and his sister Julia Bush (Pearlie Wells). He is survived by: his wife Vonya; his son Joseph III (Erica); his stepdaughters, Yvvette English, Carla Dixon (Weldon) and Kecia Larkins Austin; and his siblings, Elvira Lard, Barbara Kirby (Joe), Roosevelt Harris (Brenda), Leroy Harris (Lora), Willie Harris, John Harris, Chancie Harris, Eddie Harris, Willis Harris and John Tolbert, Jr.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Monetary donations will go towards the monumental headstone in memory of Joseph Harris, Jr.
