He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth; his son Julio; his parents, Gregorio Rivera and Ana Maria Rivera; and his siblings, Jimmy and Mary.
He is survived by: his children, Jose Rivera (Tasha) of Elyria, Jahaira Black (Leland) of Sanford, FL, Luis Rivera (Ashly) of Jacksonville, FL, Alex Rivera of Elyria and Jessica Vazquez (Johnny) of Elyria; his grandchildren, Sebastian, Christian, Cristina, Blake, Brookelynn, Jacob, Jeremiah, Johnny Jr., Julio, Analize and Zion; and his siblings, Hilda, Milly, Silvia, Noelma, Ana, Mache, Wanda and Juan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
