It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James W. Payne of Elyria, Ohio, who passed away on March 9, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of James W. Payne to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell and Dorothy; and his brother Charles Payne. He is survived by: his wife Joan E.; his children, Scott (Kim) of Amherst and Cynthia M. Chaplar (Alan) of Elyria; and his siblings, Susan Hasko of Texas and John Payne of Lorain. He is also survived by four grandchildren, six great grandchildren.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Jim's memory be sent to Ohio Parkinson Foundation Northeast Region PO Box 31907 Independence, OH 44131-4854 or Mercy New Life Hospice 3500 Kolbe Rd. Lorain, OH 44053.
