He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Mackert and Pearl Mackert; his siblings, Virginia Geiger (Albert), Lawrence, Albert Mackert, Pearl Olearecik (James), Earl Mackert (Carol) and Mark Mackert (Mary); his brother-in-law John Ravotti, Sr.; his aunt Elvira Wieland (Steven); and his son James Michael Mackert.
He is survived by: his wife Lois; his siblings, Paul Mackert, Sr. (Jacqueline) and Janet Ravotti; his sister-in-law Norma Lengyel; his children, Joe (Nohemy), Lisa Stayer (Joe), Tim, Lora Pritt (John) and Steve; his grandchildren, Lauren, Jordan (Johnny), Jared, Jimmy, Jonathan (Halle) of Rachel, DJ, Emilie and Luke; and his great grandchildren, Zoey, John, Leo, Amoura, Emilia and Michael.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home (327 Cleveland St, Elyria, OH 44035). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church (2640 Stoney Ridge Rd, Avon, OH 44011). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Cemetery (2640 Stoney Ridge Rd, Avon, OH 44011).
