She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Diewald and Violet Diewald; and her brother Tommy Diewald. She is survived by: her husband Allan Thompson; her daughters, Meredith Long (Barry) and Kim Scott (Walter); her sister Darlene Neptune; her grandson Ian Scott; and her great grandchild Lucas Mahl.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Abbe Road Baptist Church (670 S Abbe Rd, Elyria, OH 44035). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
