He was predeceased by: his former wife Ellen; his wife Dorothy; and his siblings, Priscilla Smecker and Ray Gavlak. He is survived by: his children, Kelli McQuaid (Todd), Joe Gavlak (Gina) and Gerald E. Gavlak (Jill Zinn); and his sister Carol Olczak. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
