We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2022, at the age of 85, George W Johnston Jr. of Elyria, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Johnston and Maria Johnston (Kaiser); his siblings, Robert, Mary, Charlie, Donald, Ronald, Harold, Eva and Kathleen; and his parents-in-law, Lawrence Anderson (Archie) and Marguerite Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Johnston (Anderson); his children, George "Butch" Johnston III of Elyria, Carma Lee Freeman of Lorain, Douglas Johnston of Wellington and Tonya Bollin of Decatur, IN.; his grandchildren, Brandi Hatfield (Russ Godsey), Sean Freeman (Jessica), Erin Messer (Nate), Tim Johnston (Jolene), Christopher Bollin (Katie), Brandon Sauer (Amanda), Braeton Bollin and Jayce Bollin; his brother-in-law Allan Anderson (Cathy); his pets, Hudson and Maya; his brothers-in-law, Raymond Anderson and Robert Anderson; and his grandson Joshua Freeman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project in honor of his grandson's who are currently serving our country, or the Friendship Animal Protective League.
