He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sharlow and Orleeta Sharlow; and his siblings, Ada M. Merrill and Rueben D. Merrill. He is survived by: his children, George III (Lasontia) and Sarah Canterbury (Shawn); his grandchildren, Tyler Canterbury, Daylan Sharlow and Je'Den Sharlow; and his siblings, Michael S. Merrill (Kim), Carmen Lone (Gerald) and Orretta F. Sharlow. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
