He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Jones and Julia Jones; his brother Eric Jones; and his brother-in-law Ronald Porter. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Derrico (Nee West); his children, Ashley Jones (Elyria), Chaz, Geon Derrico Jr. (Cleveland) and Denzel Derrico (Lexington); his grandchildren, Kelani Derrico and Landon Geon Jones; and his siblings, Sharon of Cleveland, Angela (Aaron) of Cleveland, Gordon of Cleveland, Lisa (Keith) of Cleveland, Darlene (Richard) of Cleveland and Kimberly (Ronald) of Avon, Ohio. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chirstian & Missionary Alliance Church (45440 Butternut Ridge Rd, Oberlin, OH 44074). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
