He is survived by: his children, Gary Smolka (Shelley) of Avon Lake, Kimberly Rogozinski (Tony) of North Olmsted, Amanda Smolka (Dylan) of Avon Lake and Kathleen Smolka (Dennie) of Sheffield Lake; his siblings, Tom Smolka (Fran) of Maumee, Gayle Kimpton (Dan) of Bradenton, FL, Teresa Williams of Sheffield Village and Christine Clark (Dan) of Vermilion; and his sister-in-law Jean Smolka. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; one great-grandson.
