He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVern Sand and Bernice Sand; and his siblings, Calvin, Ronald Sand and Sheila Leininger.
He is survived by: his daughter Cynthia Sand of Elyria; and his siblings, Richard Sand of Myrtle Beach, FL and Kaaren Sand of Elyria. He is also survived by three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
