He was predeceased by: his wife Beatrice; his sister Phyllis Burke; his brother-in-law Richard Burke; and his niece Laurie Derringer. He is survived by: his children, Mary Woods (Barry) of Texas and David Givens (Karen) of Columbia Station; his grandchildren, Amanda and Ralph Russo; and his niece Debbie Lance (Chuck) of Elyria.
