He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan W. Horton Sr. and Doris V. Horton; his wife Goldean Dickerson Horton; and his sister Linda V. Charley. He is survived by: his siblings, Jack Horton, John Horton (Connie Horton), Dorothy Carol Price, Nellie Fay Jackson, Mary Ann Horton and Catherine Cross Shelton (Ronald Shelton); and his close friends, Diane Harris of Courtland, Virginia and Dave Kellam. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
